FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW ORLEANS-BASED BLUESY ALTERNATIVE ROCKERS FIREBUG SET TO RELEASE CHRIS GOSS-PRODUCED NEW ALBUM HOMEOSTASIS ON SEPTEMBER 15; FIRST SINGLE "WINE WATER & BREAD" DEBUTS JULY 28

Los Angeles, CA: FireBug's new full album, Homeostasis, is set for a September 15 release. Produced by Chris Goss (Queens Of The Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Kyuss, Masters of Reality, etc.), "This album presents a new dynamic in our band, both with our sound and our approach," according to Jules Shapiro, lead guitarist and cofounder. "The sessions were awesome... we had a lot fun recording at Ranch De La Luna with Chris."

Jules and Juliette Tworsey (lead vocals/songwriter/rhythm guitar/cofounder) met in the Wicker Park section of Chicago, where they immersed themselves in the Chicago music scene and formed FireBug. They moved to Los Angeles, living behind the Silverlake Lounge, where they regular hosted "Firelight" events and invited four or five local east side bands showcase there. Then, they found themselves drawn to the laissez-faire, musically-charged atmosphere of New Orleans.

Upon their arrival in NOLA, Juliette and Jules performed as street musicians in the French Quarter. "We met so many talented musicians on the street," Jules remembers. "It was a real awakening for us." The diverse sounds of the streets of New Orleans come alive through the words and music on Homeostasis. Now based there full-time, Juliette and Jules are inspired by the city itself and its rich musical history.

"Wine Water & Bread," the album's debut single which debuts July 28, describes how the simple joys in life are all you really need. "If you should fly too close to the sun/Never to be seen, never to return/Beyond the fire, beyond the third tier/Time is of perception so I hear/ When you've got.../Wine, water and bread".

Eclectic musical tastes helped to influence their distinctive sound. Juliette embraces a variety of musical genres, including '60s/'70s rock (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin), soul (Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin), '90s "alternative rock" (Soundgarden, Beck, Elliott Smith), blues (Willie Dixon, Howlin' Wolf), and contemporary rockers like Queens of the Stone Age and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Jules credits guitar gods such as Jimmy Page and Ritchie Blackmore, as well as 'Delta Blues' artists like Johnny Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters, with shaping his unique sound.

Moody. Introspective. Intense. Unique. FireBug could very well be one of the unexpected musical discoveries of the summer of '15.
